Advisory Opinion Program Taskforce
NCBA will review member requests for clarification from the CFPB through the Advisory Opinion Program. The purpose of the Bureau’s Advisory Opinion Program is to allow the Bureau a mechanism to provide written guidance to assist regulated entities to better understand their legal and regulatory obligations through advisory opinions.
The CFPB’s Advisory Opinion Program provides anonymity for our members questions or concerns by allowing NCBA to submit requests on behalf of our members. This program focuses primarily on clarifying ambiguities in the Bureau’s regulations.
NCBA Engagement with CFPB
NCBA regularly and proactively provides feedback to the CFPB both in formal written filings and during meetings with CFPB staff.
