2024 NCBA Scholarship Winner: Evan Hammer

We're excited to announce that Evan Hammer was selected as this year's recipient for the NCBA 2024 Scholarship sponsored by Barron & Newburger Foundation. Evan is an incoming 1L at the University of Chicago Law School, and he graciously approved of us sharing his winning essay on this year's topic: Do restrictions on collection and credit reporting of medical debts affect the availability, cost, and quality of medical services and treatment?

We greatly appreciate our judges—Crystal Duplay, Steve Markoff, Barb Nilsen, and Rachel VanHorn—for the time and care they spent on evaluating all of the submissions.
