Navigating CFPB Exams

We recently learned that the CFPB has started sending Large Participant Surveys to NCBA members to help them understand which firms in our industry fall under CFPB supervision per the CFPB's Large Participant Rule. Members also reported receiving surveys several years ago, but this survey appears different in nature and may (or may not) be a sign that the Bureau is considering examining some in our industry.

If the Bureau does move forward with exams, they are not likely to begin before 2025. In the meantime, we want to provide our members with resources to help prepare for any potential exams.
